Mrs. Arlease M. Williams

Arlease M. Dykes Williams affectionately known as “Lisa” was born January 2, 1945 in Goshen Springs, Mississippi to the late Jessie B. Sinclair and Ruthers Dykes. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church under Rev. Trevilian. After graduating from Carter High School, she received her Bachelors of Science degree from Jackson State University. On September 2, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, she married the love of her life, Wade Earl Williams, and to this union three children were born, LaSonji, Byron and Nashara. For over thirty-two years, Lisa was a dedicated employee of AT&T where she worked until she retired and moved back to Mississippi. After returning to Mississippi, she united with Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. If you knew Lisa, you knew that she loved her family. Whether it was helping her children, tutoring her grandchildren, giving advice to her nieces and nephews, or traveling with her sisters and brothers, Lisa's love for her family had no boundaries. If you knew Lisa, you also knew her wonderful laugh. She could always make the heaviest moments light. She had a great sense of humor and always appreciated a good joke. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wade Williams; her father, Ruthers Dykes; her mother, Jessie B. Sinclair; two brothers, Leneal Hill, Sr., and Billy Dykes; one sister, Arlean Cobb and several other family members and friends. She leaves to forever cherish her memory and mourn her passing, three children, LaSonji (Gaylord) Collins of Byram, Mississippi, Byron (Lorraine) Williams of Riverside, California, Nashara Reynolds of Brandon, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Ahjanee Reynolds and Anthony Reynolds of Brandon Mississippi, four step-grandchildren, Amaris Collins of Byrum, Mississippi, Brittany Huddleston, Matthew Huddleston, and Gregory Huddleston of Riverside California; six brothers, Hervey (Helen) Dykes, Rufus (Dorothy) Dykes, Eddie (Eleanor) Sinclair, Roger (Judy) Sinclair, Clarence Porter, Lionel (Diane) Porter, five sisters, Louise (Buchanan) Patterson, Betty Bryant, Shelia Thompson, Alice Faye Myrick and Kizzie Porter; one aunt, Veronia Hayes, and three sisters-in-law, Zadie Dykes, Tressie Swaggard, and Patricia (Hubbard) Taylor. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.
