Ms. Shelia Cuvette Hobson

Shelia Cuvette Hobson was born July 5th, 1971 to Sidney Hobson and Dorothy Lewis at University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She excelled academically in the Pelahatchie school system, graduating from Pelahatchie High School in 1989. She started her matriculation at Alcorn State University the following fall and graduated in 1994 with a double major: Business Administration and Accounting. Shelia held various positions through local government agencies and companies, during her career adaptations from Mississippi to Illinois (1998) and Georgia (2006) where she was ultimately employed by Tremont Realty Center in Atlanta, Georgia. She was an avid reader and made certain everyone around her knew they were special. After recommitting her life to the Lord in more recent years she actively engaged and furthered her relationship with God at World Changers Fellowship Ministries under the guiding light of pastor, Dr. Creflo Dollar. There she grew as the Word was taught. Shelia's commitment was made whole by receiving and deploying the gift of speaking in tongues. Shelia Cuvette transitioned from this life on October 7th, 2020 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father, Sidney Hobson Sr; her brother, Sidney Shawn Hobson Jr; and her stepfather, Curtis Lewis. Shelia is survived by her mother, Dorothy Lewis; her niece, Ebony Johnson- Beard; her great nieces and nephew: Adriana, Sanadrian, Cynthia and Adrian Jr.; her sisters: Tebicia Hobson (Dallas, TX) and nephews- Jarquarious and Symaujia; Felecia (Hobson) Jones (Bastrop, LA) and children- Arlandrea, Tyrus, Iyoni; Lawanda Precious (Antonio) Buckner (Pelahatchie, MS) and children- Alexis, Kenyatta, Trinity Antonio Jr., Jacob, Jeremiah. She will be lovingly remembered by Aunts and uncles: Rev. Velma Davis (Rialto, CA); Thelma Mayers (Richland, MS); Rosie (James) Walker (Brandon, MS); James T. Anderson (Winston-Salem, NC); Alfred (Christine) Anderson (Rochester, NY); Charlene (Michael) Hill (Olive Branch, MS; Viola Barnes (New Orleans, LA); Queen Esther (Billy) Fickling (Brandon, MS); Annie Jane (Willie) Collins (Jackson, MS); Henry Lacey Hobson (Brandon, MS); Chester Hobson (Brandon, MS); Joseph Hobson (Brandon, MS); Odell Hobson (Brandon, MS) and a special friend, Dorothy Abram. In addition to the listed survivors Sheila will forever be etched on the hearts and minds of cousins, other family members, friends and loved ones near and far. Shelia has touched and remains in the hearts, spirits, and minds of all those she loved and those that loved her. She shall forever remain with us.
