Mr. Troy Lee Love Jr.

Troy Lee Love, Jr. was born August 1, 1955, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, to Mrs. Elizabeth L. Grant and Mr. Troy Love, Sr. He departed from this earthly home to his eternal home on the morning of March 5, 2020, in Jackson, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Mr. Troy Love, Sr. and Mr. Daniel Grant. Troy moved to Los Angeles, California, during his early years but grew up in Syracuse, New York. He attended and graduated from Blodgett High School. Troy lived in Columbus, Ohio and returned to Los Angeles before making Brandon, Mississippi, his home. Troy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. William Cobb of Holy Chapel M.B. Church. He later became a member of Wilson Grove M.B. Church in Flora where he remained a member until his transition. Troy also attended Jordan Grove M.B. Church in Brandon under the leadership of Rev. Lamont Adams. Troy met his soulmate, Lillian Love, in 2003, and they were married on February 26, 2005. They had a love like no other, and they celebrated 14 years of marital bliss before Lillian transitioned on May 26, 2019. Troy treasured his family and spending time with them. Hunting was his favorite pastime that he looked forward to but fishing was something else Troy liked to do. He was a sports fanatic who loved to watch his favorite teams, the New Orleans Saints, and the Golden State Warriors. Troy would spend time watching animal planet and the history channel, and he enjoyed listening to jazz music. Troy leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Elizabeth Grant; five sons: Mario Love, Rokeland Wiggins, Quindarius Love, Rodney Moore, and Thaddius Moore; two daughters: Mekia McCoy and Trokesa Love; eight grandchildren: Janiyah Love, Kentrell Benefield, D'Ondre Love, Dallas Hill, Diamond Hill, Izayah Coleman, Rania Moore, and Rakeevan Moore; two brothers: Ellis Johnson and Michael Love; three sisters: Vickie Grant, Gina (Doug) Love-Walker, and Lolita Love; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He also leaves close friends from Syracuse: Woody Crosby and Paul Bearer; and his hunting buddies: Sims and Myers.
