Mr. Allen Devon Taylor

Mr. Allan D. Taylor was born January 26, 1963, in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Mr. Willie Denson and Mrs. Mary Taylor Denson. He was affectionately called "Don" by his family and friends. Always full of surprises and a person with a helping heart, Don passed away on February 11, 2024, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents; Hardy and Mary Taylor Sr; Paternal Grandparents; Frank and Laura Denson; Five Uncles, Herman, Hardy Jr., Ralph, Preston, Milton Taylor; Two Aunts; Bertha Liddell and Shelia Sylvester. He was educated in the Pearl Public Schools where he helped with the football team and guarded all the girls at the school. He started his career with Friends of Children as Warehouse Supervisor at an early age under the leadership of the late Mrs. Willie Payton. He continued his career until his health started to fail. He knew every firefighter that had ever worked at Station 3 from the time it was built. He would make groceries and cook just as if he were at home. He loved his family and friends. Don loved children and treated them like they were his. He loved to cook and would cook at anyone's house. He loved to perform his favorite song, "The Big Pay Back." He had a passion for softball, where he was the umpire for all softball games at Jenkins Park, where he was known to call a strike and then say, "Don't look at me, you know that was a strike." Don's body may be absent from us, but his memory will forever live in the hearts of his loving siblings; Bernard Denson of Ludlow, Mississippi; Andra Dwayne (Kelly) Denson of Hanover, Maryland; Adrienne Denson of Baltimore Maryland; Deithra Davis of Pearl, Mississippi; Nieces and Nephews; Ledrick, Camilla, Ebony, Shacondala, Andrew, Alexandra, Adrienne, Christian and Madison; Four Uncles; James Taylor of Pearl, MS; Steve Taylor of Jackson, MS; Gregory (Carolyn) Taylor of Jackson, MS, and Richard (Natalie) Taylor of Pearl, MS; Seven Aunts; Landis Taylor of Byram, MS, Doris (Perry) Magee, Sandra McBride, Lois Taylor, and Sherry Taylor of Pearl, MS; Valerie Young of Alpharetta, GA, and Patricia Taylor of Byram, MS. A Host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends. He had a very special Aunt, Sherry Taylor, a special Uncle, Rev. Perry Magee, a special cousin, Roger Carter, and a special friend, Rev. James Cooper, who would always look out for him. If he would call them at any time of the day or night, they would answer him.
