Deacon Benjamin Alexander, Jr.

A TIME TO BE BORN: Benjamin (Bo) Alexander Jr started his journey on June 25, 1954 in Brandon, Mississippi being born to Benjamin and Ruth Alice (Thomas) Alexander who both preceded his in death. A TIME TO LOVE: Benjamin was raised in the Meridian and Rankin County area. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and later became a Deacon at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Benjamin took God's business serious until his passing. Benjamin graduated from Pearl High School in 1971 and attended Hinds Community College for Nutrition. In 1973 he started working at Mississippi State Hospital in the kitchen and then as a painter in the Maintenance Department for 24 years. A TIME TO UNITE: He was united in holy matrimony to Freddie Jean Hobson on June 25, 1977, and was the proud father of five beautiful girls. This enduring love affair lasted for over 50 years. A TIME TO DIE: On Thursday, July 16, 2026, God opened His arms to allow him to rest and join his parent: Benjamin Stand Ruth Alice Alexander, his brothers Franklin and Leonard Wynn Alexander, his sisters Joyce Ann Wilson and Rowena McClain. A TIME TO MOURN: He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 49 years Freddie Jean; his five beautiful girls Kizzie of California, Maranda (Munsumi, Amy, Terri and Sherry of Pearl, Mississippi. Four sisters, Linda, Wanda, Regina and Cathy. Two great aunts, Catherine Harvey and Annie Mae Carmack. Four great uncles, J.H.; Jimmie; Alex (Doris; and George Thomas. Four sisters-in-Law: Mary, Doris (Calvin), Lizzie (Billy), and Lurlean James). Along with one brother-in-law Leroy (Kena). His legacy will continue with 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Benjamin cherished the fatherly bond with his uncle, John C.
