Mr. Charles Sylvester Anderson Jr.

On the morning of October 27, 2024, the ship pulled up to shore and the captain said, "All Aboard." Sylvester got aboard to the other side. "Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give unto you." - John 14:27 Charles Sylvester Anderson Jr., the son of Charles Sylvester and Esther B. Anderson, was born on May 30, 1942, in Nashville TN. He was the third of five children. Three preceded him in death: Two brothers, Reginald and Edsel, and One sister, Charlyne, affectionately known as "Mickey." On April 10, 1971, Sylvester married the Love of his Life, Betty J. Jones. They shared fifty-three years together. Sylvester has three children, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Sylvester graduated in 1960 from Northwestern High School (Detroit MI). He went on to attend Crane Jr. College (Chicago IL). In 1962, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as an Electrician High Wireman. In 1966, he was honorably discharged and continued his education as an Electrician and became part of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), where he completed his Apprenticeship as an Electrician, and received high honors. Later, he took advantage of a career opportunity to become an entrepreneur, founding Circle A Electric/CSA Electric; where he also trained and developed young people to also become electricians and entrepreneurs. Sylvester loved to travel. But accurately, he was in love with the entire experience of traveling. He could not get enough. He wanted to see as much as he could, learn as much as he could, and make the most of every new exploration opportunity. He began traveling while in the military and continued traveling with family after his discharge. Traveling with family was always an exciting and memorable experience. They traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Caribbean Island, Alaska, and throughout the U.S. and parts of Canada. Sylvester became an active member of the Christian Faith and loved the Lord, his physical and spiritual church family. He loved working on God's programs and served in various church capacities including being the church's treasurer for many years, a trustee, and the church's handyman (media, electrical, carpentry, etc.). He also served as secretary and treasurer of their men's group, The Churchmen, at CCCOG. Sylvester was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. Sylvester leaves to cherish his precious memories, his beloved wife: Betty J. Anderson of Florence MS; his children: Nareta (Toni) Rodgers of Romulus MI, Stephanie of Detroit MI, Cart of Jackson MS; one sister: Imogene of Detroit MI; six sisters-in-law, six brothers-in-law; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren , nieces, nephews, many loving friends, relatives, and extended family members.
