Mrs. Courtney Nicole Littleton

Courtney Nicole Clark-Littleton was born on November 18, 1980, to the late Johnny Coleman and Mary Ann Drummond. At an early age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Florence, Mississippi. Courtney was a proud graduate of Mendenhall High School. She went on to earn both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Thee Jackson State University. Courtney had a deep passion for helping others, a calling she lived out through her career, family, and service to the community. She had a special love for children, which was evident during her time teaching at Adhiambo and M & F as well as her dedication to the youth of Zion Hill. She later served as a case worker for youth Villages. Her advocacy for mental health was unwavering. She most recently served as the Division Director of Outreach and Training for the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. On May 26, 2007, Courtney was united in holy matrimony to Darion Clark-Littleton. Their union was blessed with two children, Darion Jr. and Daryn and a bonus daughter, N'Waynah. Courtney was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Coleman; grandparents, Lee Bertha and Jessie Drummond, and Mary Coleman; and mother-in-law, Darlene Littleton. She leaves to cherish her legacy: her loving husband, Darion Clark-Littleton; her devoted mother, Mary Ann Drummond; her children, Darion Jr. and Daryn; her bonus daughter, N'Waynah, and bonus grandson, Jayce; two sisters, Julie Drummond and Samantha Coleman; brothers, William (Brittany), Terrance, and Jermaine, Eric, Wayland; aunts, Modesteen and Lorraine (Kenny); uncle, Jack; a special niece, Leeanna Taylor; father-in-law, Robert Littleton jr., sisters-in-law, Tamitra (Robert) and Suxette; goddaughters, Ariana Coleman, Lauren and Nicole Kendrick; stepmother, Mary Coleman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Courtney had a special gift for creating meaningful moments with the people she loved. She delighted in planning family vacations, carefully crafting every detail to ensure that each trip was not just a get-away, but a cherished memory. Whether it was finding the perfect destination, organizing activities that everyone would enjoy, or simply making sure there was time to relax and connect, Courtney made every family trip feel magical. Her love for togetherness didn't stop with travel. Courtney also took great pride in hosting her family at home. Her warm and welcoming nature turned every gathering into a celebration. Whether it was a holiday meal, a birthday party, or a casual weekend barbecue, Courtney made sure everyone felt seen, valued, and loved. Her home was a place of laughter, good food, and strong family bonds. Through both her planning and her presence, Courtney gave her family the gift of memories-moments filled with joy, connection, and love. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she started, the memories she helped create, and the way she brought her family closer together. Courtney's warmth, strength, and compassion touched everyone she met. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
