Mr. Erskine Lee Murray

On December 25, 2024, God in his great wisdom saw that Erskine was getting tired and called him to rest. Even though it saddens our hearts, we know absence from the body is to be presented with the Lord. Erksine Murray was born to the late Lenzie Murray and the late Daisy Williams Rankin on October 6, 1957. In addition to his parentnd Virginia Willaps, cede reared him, and ra whore he, referred to as "daddy and momma." At a young age, Erskine learned the importance of family and enjoyed spending time with his family. Though he often had pain and discomfort, he would always talk about how good God is and that every day is a good day. During one of his last serious conversations, approximately one month ago, with his sister, Clara, in which he called her at 7:00 a.m., and expressed how the Holy Spirit has spoken to him and said, "it is about time for you to leave here." Erskine quickly responded, "I am ready." Although our hearts are heavy and he is greatly missed, we find comfort in knowing that Erskine had accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Erskine was friendly and would talk with anyone for hours. He loved fishing, gardening, and car detailing. He took pride in his work. He attended church regularly and enjoyed fellowshipping with his Good Hope Church family. He graduated from Florence High School in 1975. Erskine leaves to celebrate his life two sons Erskine Murray, Jr. (Kerrissc), Miracle Murray, and a loving stepdaughter, Nikki Starks, Sisters on (mother's side), Clara Kitchens, Calvetia Lewis, and Arta Young: His brothers Demetria Rankin and Rev. Montique Rankin, his best friend, cook, nurse, driver, the one who would help him up when he would fall, went with him to all his doctors appointments, made sure he had his medications, and assisted him with detailing cars, his life partner, Lisa Murray. Two brothers preceded him in death, Marvin Singleton and AJ Rankin, Jr., along with his stepfather, AJ Rankin Sr. His siblings on his father's side of the family are as follows: Carolyn Murray, Lenzie Murray Jr, Reggie Murray, Valerie Murray, Rodney Murray, Nehemiah Murray, and Jeremiah Murray. One sister who preceded him in death, Stephanie Murray. A host of nieces and nephews.
