Mr. Ezell Easterling

Mr. Ezell Easterling, affectionally known as "Big" was born on November 12, 1930, to the late R. T. & Jessie Mae Easterling in Braxton, Ms. Growing up, he attended "The Easterling School" which was also located not far from their home, and where they proudly walked to each day. At an early age Ezell embraced his faith at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church and was always a faithful member until his health began to decline. In 1960 Ezell was employed as an orderly at Mississippi Hudspeth Center taking care of patients and their needs, which was a great reflection of how he cared for others. He faithfully worked there until he retired in the mid 90's. Also, while at Mississippi Hudspeth Center, he met the love of his life and the apple of his eye, Mrs. Kimberly. He and Kim dated for several years before they officially united in holy matrimony on February 14, 1992, Valentine's Day. Ezell always doted on his loved ones and enjoyed sitting and talking to anyone who wanted to stop by and visit. Ezell was known as one of the biggest farmers that lived and loved the earth. For as long as he could, he served and shared all that he harvested with everyone in the community. He raised almost any vegetable known to man and was proud to teach anyone that wanted to learn. He spent almost all of his time outdoors, and you could almost always find him somewhere in the yard piddling. At the amazing age of 94, Mr. Ezell departed this life on July 20, 2025 in the early hours of the morning, with his loving wife Kim, right by his side. He was proceeded in death by his parents R.T. and Jessie Mae Easterling, brothers: J.P. Easterling, Etoy Easterling, Teddy(Barbara)Easterling, Linberg Easterling and Truman (Darlene) Easterling and sisters: Mildred Buckhaulter, Ina Mae Johnson, Mae West Lumpkin and Elouise Green. Mr. Ezell leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories with his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Kimberly Easterling and his twin brother, Mr. Phezell Easterling, sons: Billy (Patricia) Easterling and Sean Gray, daughters: Vanessa (Marcus) Riley, Brenda Easterling and Sharon Essex. Mr. Ezell has 13 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends and a lifetime friend, Mr. Bill Foote.
