Mr. George Earl Washington

Mr. George Earl Washington was born November 10, 1953 to Rev. Arthur L. Washington and Dorothy Ervin Washington in Brandon, Mississippi. He was elevated to his heavenly home on Friday September 9, 2022 at PAM Specialty Hospital of Shreveport, Louisiana. George was processed in death by his mother Dorothy Ervin Washington and brothers; Arthur AC' Washington, Tommie Washington and Willie Washington. George accepted the Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of Zion and Bethesda Baptist Churches in Saginaw, Michigan. Upon moving to Shreveport, Louisiana he established his membership with New Inspiration Baptist Church. George grew up in Saginaw, Michigan he's a graduate of Saginaw High School. He attended Delta College where he majored in engineering, his love for cars led him to a life fulfilling career of 36yrs with General Motors until his retirement. George, married the love of his life Viola Williams Washington of Little Rock, Arkansas. And to that union a daughter was born, Regina 'Penny' Washington. George was a very proud Father, grandfather and brother. George enjoyed bowling, playing chest, being outdoors with his good friends Tyrone McKinney and fishing with George Wells. He especially enjoyed coming back home to Mississippi being with family and friends. And having to opportunity to play chest with his friend Alfred Hobbs. George was very outgoing and loved by family and friends. George leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 49yrs. Viola Williams Washington, Father Rev. Arthur L. Washington, Daughter Regina Penny' Washington. Three Granddaughters Shaniqua Washington, Veleria 'Angel’ Washington and Taniya Washington. Two Great-grandsons La Karion Washington and Sekani Nugget Washington, all of Shreveport, Louisiana. Three brothers Jessie (Mary) Washington, Brandon Mississippi, Eric (Yolanda) Ervin, Mississippi. Rev. Melvin (Benita) Ervin, Brandon, Mississippi. Two sisters, Diane (Rev. Marvin) McLaurin Jr. and Deborah (William) Woods Sr. of Richland, Mississippi. Sister in-law, Rosalind Washington, Brandon, Mississippi Two Aunts, Louise Lilian' Burnett of Brandon, Mississippi, Dorothy Ann (James) Donald Sr. of Saginaw, Michigan. Two uncle's, Isaiah Washington of Pearl, Mississippi and Rev. Otis (Bonnie) Washington of Saginaw, Michigan. Special cousins Joyce Neal of Saginaw, Michigan and Paulette Bradley of Detroit Michigan. Host of brother and sisters in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
