Mrs. Geraldine Spann

Geraldine (Wash) Spann was born on January 14, 1960, in Brandon, Mississippi. She was the ninth child born to Sarah and Arthur Was who preceded in death. On Monday, November 6, 2023 while hospitalized, Geraldine "Dina Woman" transitioned peacefully. She is and will forever be in our hearts and with the Lord. Geraldine "Dina Woman" accepted Christ in her life at an early age as she attended Rock Star Missionary Baptist Church. Geraldine attended Brandon High School where she was friendly, lovely, caring, and sassiest young lady in the crowd. Geraldine began working at an early age at Grantham Cleaners in Brandon, MS where she was the lead presser. She also worked at Elite Cleaners in Jackson, MS and Safeway Cleaners in Pearl, MS before retiring in 2023. Geraldine "Dina Woman" gave birth to her handsome son Glenn "Ken" Wash (Danielle Wash) and lovely daughter Tekelia Spann who preceded her death. "Dina Woman" was gifted by God her handsome grandson/ son Aeden Ri-chard Spann whom she cherished and loved dearly. Every week Geraldine (Dina Woman), Aeden, Glenn "Ken", and Danielle would watch "WWE" and "AWE" wrestling while enjoying their seafood, sushi, popcorn, gummies, and pound cake. "Dina woman is cherished most by her family, classmates, co-workers especially those from Grantham, Elite, and Safeway Cleaners. Geraldine "Dina Woman" has always been the family dancing doll with her infectious laugh and smile. She was the live of the party when she entered the room. Dina Woman celebrated her birthday on January 28, 2023 with her entire family at the family house which she was raised. If you attended, no words need to be expressed as we had a good time. Her legacy Tekelia Spann preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her son Glenn "Ken" Wash (Danielle), her only grandchild Aeden Spann; three living sisters Katie Eubanks (B Eubanks preceded her in death Betty Crain (Joe Lewis Crain), Lillie Holloway. Two sisters preceded her in death which were Francis Harris and Gloria Spann (Earnest Spann) Four Brother: Two living Arthur Jr. (Rose Wash) and Greg Wash Sr. (Katie Lewis) and Two preceded her in death which were Earnest Caston and Robert Wash and her parents Arthur Sr. and Sarah Wash who preceded her in death. Geraldine also leaves a host of beloved niece, nephews, and cousins. Special nieces and nephews: Deborah "Lorraine" Wash, Deborah Coleman, Willie Joe Crain, Jackie Caston George Hendrix (Krystin), Bryon Hendrix (Beth), Teresa Wash-Wallace (Randy Wallace), Sherry Holloway, Cindy Harris, Derrick White (Kenyia King-White), John Crain, Kimberly Wash-Murphy (Donald Murphy), Gary Holloway, LaKisha Kelly and Tamora (Dena her name sake) Kelly-Brown (Karrell Brown), Douglas Crain(Sherry Crain) and Jerome Caston who preceded her in death and a host of great nieces and nephews. Her special cousin Sharon (Shelly) Spann whom she talked to every day.
