Mr. J. C. Andrews

Mr. J.C. Andrews was born April 18, 1945, on his mother's birthday in Florence, Mississippi and made his Heavenly transition on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:28 p.m. surrounded by family. He was the second child of eleven children born to the late Mr. Wilbert Andrews and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Lee Andrews. J.C. was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Charles Edward Andrews (infant), Wilbert Andrews Jr., Lennel Andrews Sr., Bruce Sterling Andrews; two sisters: Dorothy Jean Andrews Cox and Bobbie Jean Andrews Smith. J.C. was raised in a Christian home where he was taught the love of Christ, to love one another, and to treat people with kindness. He loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age. J.C. was married to Vera McIntyre Andrews. Three beautiful children were born to this union. He was a loving FATHER, PA PA, BROTHER, UNCLE, COUSIN, and FRIEND to many. J.C. attended McLaurin High School. He developed a hard work ethic at an early age as he performed his day-to-day chores working in the cotton fields and peddling vegetables with his father and siblings. He was blessed with a special gift of construction work, roofing, and building. At an early age, J.C. moved to Chicago, Illinois and later moved to San Antonio, Texas to work in construction and roofing with his brothers. J.C. decided it was time to be his own boss and began his own business, "Andrews Construction." His business was successful for over 35 years. With his creative mind, he could build and remake anything. J.C. worked in New Orleans, Louisiana from 2005 to 2007 assisting with the Hurricane Katrina relief. J.C. was known in the community as the "Ninja from Parts Unknown", but his brothers called him "Shine". He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, raising cattle, pigs, donkeys and chickens. J.C. always tried to keep the family together by hosting parties, family gatherings and the Lee and Andrews Family Reunion. J.C. Andrews leaves to cherish and honor his legacy: a loving daughter Denise Andrews (Richard) of Florence, MS, two loving sons: Eddie Andrews Sr. (Shelia) of Byram, MS and Jeffery Andrews of Florence, MS; eight grandchildren: Dajiah Taylor, Jaylen Forbes Destenie Thomas, Pequetta Andrews, La Tresse Corbitt, Eddie Andrews Jr., Alexus Andrews, and Christian Andrews; six great grandchildren: Jacob Hawkins, Josiah Taylor, Jaylee Forbes, Princeton Corbitt, Killian Corbitt, and Emarie Andrews; four siblings: Bettie Lewis (David), Johnny Andrews, Milton Andrews (Bobby), Gilbert Andrews and his Big Sis Evelyn Harper; sister-in-laws: Sandra Andrews and Angela Andrews; brother-in-law and best friend Bobby Cox and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends that loved him dearly. J.C. is gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
