Mr. Jason Bernard Kelly

Jason Benard Kelly was born April 20, 1979, in Jackson, Mississippi, to his beloved parents, Devant Kelly, Sr., and Bertha Kelly; he was the second oldest child born to this union. Following his family's tradition, his Christian training began at Miracle Temple Church of Deliverance in Jackson, Mississippi, under Dr. T.J. Calhoun. Jason grew up surrounded by his siblings, Devant Jr., Jerome, and Marqueshia, and cousins, enjoying life as children. Jason graduated from Provine High School (Jackson, Mississippi) in 1998. After high school, he attended Hinds Community College, majoring in Computer Science. While in Jackson, Jason worked in various professions, including security, hospital support, and sales. His coworkers and employers remember him as hardworking and a joy to work with. In 2010, Jason entered another phase of his life when he met the love of his life, Tempie Walker. They were married on March 8, 2016, in Jackson, Mississippi. After living in Jackson for several years, the couple relocated to Horn Lake, Mississippi, in 2017. During this time, Jason worked at Millstone Distribution Center and Smith Medical Distribution Center in Olive Branch, Mississippi, and most recently, he was employed at Gardaworld Security in Horn Lake, Mississippi. Jason was a fun-loving person who enjoyed life and those he surrounded. In his free time, he loved to travel, spend time with his family, and watch sports. During the football season, Jason could always be found watching his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers. Jason enjoyed calling his friends and family to check on them daily. He was a bright light to anyone who knew and loved him. Jason departed this life to embrace the Lord on February 11, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his passing include his wife, Dr. Tempie Walker-Kelly of Horn Lake, Mississippi; siblings, Devant (Amy) Kelly, Jr. of Brandon, Mississippi, Jerome (Ashley) Kelly of Nesbit, Mississippi, and Marqueshia (Paul) Kelly of Jackson, Mississippi; his uncle, Levy Kelly of Jackson, Mississippi; aunt, Willie B. Cooper of Jackson, Mississippi; godmother, Ella Ford of Jackson, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends,
