Ms. Margaret Ann Bryant

On November 18, 1945, Margaret Ann was born to Joe Grant and Mary Ella Winsley Grant who both preceded her in death. She was one of thirteen children. Margaret Ann was baptized at an early age at True Vine M. B. Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. Margaret Ann touched many throughout her life. Being in her presence, you knew you were loved. To know her was to love her. She loved God with all her heart and spent her time studying God's word and sharing with others at every opportunity as she served her community through the church and her neighborhood. Margaret Ann Bryant attended Carter High School in Brandon, MS. Her career has been significantly impacted by her love of children. She was employed for a number of years by Caddo Parish School System in Shreveport, LA; and later she worked with the St James Head Start Early Childhood Center until her retirement. Margaret Ann wed at an early age to Robert A. Hobson, Sr. (preceded her in death). To that union, four children were born: Arleshia Annette Trigg (Laron) of Pearl MS, Robbie Roxanne McLaurin (Kelvin) of South Barrington, IL, Robert A. Hobson, Jr. of Brandon, MS, Paula "Trina" Hobson Ferguson (Steve), of Alpharetta, GA. Margaret Ann later wed Melvin H. Bryant. To this union, five children were born: Melvin "Lamont" Bryant, Mitchell M. Bryant, Michael Bryant, Jeffrey Bryant, and Jeremy Bryant. Margaret Ann also leaves to cherish her life 24 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Margaret Ann also leaves to cherish her memories seven (7) siblings who are Lillie Ruth Adams, Betty Jefferson (Clarence), Emma Jean Gibson (Johnny), Bernice Gibson, all of Brandon MS. Mary Smith and Kate Bennett, both of Chicago, IL. Virginia "Pat" McLaurin of Kansas City, KS. Margaret Ann's siblings preceded her in death: Albert James Milner, Mamie Shoto, Josephine Spann, Birdie Bragg, Moses James "Lil Buddy" Grant.
