Mrs. Margie McCloud

Margie Mae McCloud was born August 3, 1948 in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Peter and Epsy Dixon. God called her home on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Flowood, Mississippi. Margie grew up in Pearl, Mississippi, attended Carter High School, and attended Job Corps training, Margie was also a member of the Eastern Star. She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada for several years before moving back to Mississippi. More importantly, Margie accepted Christ at an early age, and she loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and might. She was faithful in the church, on the Mother Board, did mission work, and was passionate about visiting the sick and shut-in. She enjoyed reading the bible, listening to gospel music, and encouraging others. Even when her health failed, Margie did not give up. She continued to minister and encourage others over the phone. Margie never focused on herself or her health. She was always concerned about how everyone else was doing. Mages smile was beautiful and contagious! she could always make you smile, even when you were sad. Margie loved her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, and other people's children. In fact, Margie loved everyone! Margie was a great cook, and her children want everyone to know especially about those homemade biscuits! If you were around Margie for any time, you probably already know she enjoyed corn chips, butter pecan ice cream, and her most memorable saying was, "Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me!" Margie was preceded in death by her parents: Peter and Epsy Dixon; her husband, Roger McCloud; 2 sisters: Bertha Clemons and Virginia Devine; and 6 brothers: Robert, John, Amos, Earnest, Willie, and Otis Dixon. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, five sons: Peter Dixon, Leonard McCloud (Angela), Michael McCloud (Jessica), Tollie MeCloud, and Phillip McCloud; two daughters: Marsha McCloud and Lenora McCloud. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: James Dixon (Nancy) and Peter Dixon (Alice); 7 sisters: Martha Potter, Ruby Booker, Josephine Woods (Larry), Yvonne Dixon, Epsy Sandifer (Edward), Cleola Taylor, and Ceola Gilbert; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
