Mrs. Patricia Wilson

Patsy Patricia Wilson, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this life at the age of eighty-seven. Born on April 6, 1938, in Rankin County, Mississippi to the late Mr. Otho Lindcev and MrS. Floscie Lemar-_indsev of Rankin County Mississippi, Fatsy was a beacon of ctrenoth ona fith from an aarvage Shevethe sixth child and genulne v loved bv evervone that knew her Ata voung age, she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and joined Mt. Pisgan Missionary Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi. Patsy and her sister Mamie shared an incredibly special bond that was profound and lasting. Since childhood, Mamie took Patsy under her wing, nurturing and guiding her through life's journey. Their close -knit relationship, full of love, flourished as Patsy lived with Mamie during high school. She attended Cameron Street High in Canton, Mississippi and shortly after graduation, enrolled at Jackson College to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. The love that these sisters shared enabled them to create cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of those who knew them. Her journey took a pivotal turn when she married young and relocated to California, a move that would shape her into the remarkable woman she became. It was May 26, 1956, that Patsy was united in Holy matrimony to R.B. Wilson Sr. To this union, God blessed them with six children: Barbara Wilson, R.B. Wilson Jr., Wayne Wilson, Beverly (Wilson Hess, Yvonne Wilson, and Rhonda (Wilson) Knox. From the moment she embraced motherhood, Patsy devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her six children - four daughters and two sons. Her nurturing spirit and steadfast guidance provided them with a foundation rooted in love, respect, and faith. She instilled in her children the values of hard work, compassion, and perseverance, always encouraging them to pursue their dreams while reminding them of the importance of family. She shared a beautiful and enduring sixty plus year marriage with her devoted late husband R.B. Wilson Sr. Their union was a testament to love and commitment, filled with laughter, support, and countless memories. Patsy took immense joy in cheering R.B. on during their bowling league, beating him in dominoes and enjoyed adventures together fishing and creating lifelong memories with the family. She later partnered at Crenshaw Christian Center in Los Angeles, California under Apostle Fredrick K.C. Price where she worked for over 20 years, where her dedication to her faith and service to others flourished. Her infectious spirit and warm smile made her a beloved figure in the community. Her unwavering faith and commitment to serving inspired others and left a lasting impact on the lives she touched. After relocating back to Sandhill Mississippi, she rejoined membership at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi where she served faithtully under the shepherdship of Reverend Curtis Fletcher in various ministerial capacities including working as treasurer, administrator, youth, and Sunday school teacher. Patsy was not only a devoted mother but also an exemplary neighborhood mom. Her home was a haven of warmth and joy, where friends and family gathered to share meals, laughter, and heartfelt conversations. She was known for her cooking, particularly her soul food, which brought everyone together around the dinner table. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, R.B. Wilson Sr. her parents; Mr. Otho Lindsey and Mrs. Flossie Lemar-Lindsey; Mother-In-Law Mrs. Olevie Wilson, Father-In-Law Mr. Willie Wilson; Sister, Juanse "Sister" Montgomery; brothers, Theodore "Sweet" Lindsey, Oscar Lindsey, Elax Lindsey, Otho Lindsey; Brothers-in-law Frank Wilson, Artis (Scotty) Wilson, Willie Lee Wilson, A.D Brownridge and Theodore Johnson; Sisters-in-law Gladys McLin, Ola Mae Brownridge, Vera Whitmore, Mamie Lindsey, and Effie Wilson; and her most cherished grandson Eric D. Knox, Jr. (E), two infant sons Ronald Wilson and Isaiah Wilson. Patricia leaves to cherish her memories: Her lovely Daughters, Barbara Wilson, Beverly Hess (David, Yvonne Wilson, Rhonda Knox (Eric); Her two sons, R.B Wilson Jr. (lyngee) and Wayne Wilson (Wanda); One cherished Sister, Mamie Sojourney Johnson (late Theodore); Sister-In-Laws: Hazel Wilson (Raymond), Lillie Pearl Taylor-Lindsey (late Elax), Annie Ruth and Annie Wilson (late Artis); Brother-In-Laws: Raymond Wilson (Hazel) and Jimmy T (Wilson); Grandchildren: R.B. Wilson 3rd, Kiywhanna Kellup, Brandie Wilson, Kerricia Horton (Andre), Nesha McDaniel, Jessica DesVerney, Tiffany Wilson, Shavannah Wilson, R.B. Wilson 4th (Deja), Andreah Gregge, Jade Hess, Heaven Louis, Autumn Knox, Elijah (Twin) Wilson, Amaya Wilson, Ezekiel Wilson and a host of Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
