Ms. Ruth Alice Thomas Alexander

A TIME TO BE BORN: Ruth Alce homas Alexander started her journe on November 11, 1933 in Bolton, Mississippi being born to Morgan and C Bell (Lemons) Thomas who both preceded her in death. A TIME TO LOVE: Ruth was raised in the St. Thomas area. She gave her life to Christ at St Thomas Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of he late Reverend W. West. She attended until her doctor placed her or restricted movement. Over the years, Kuth has shown support tor Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Ruth's educational years began at St. Thomas Rosenwald School in St. Thomas Community. She completed High School and Junior College at Southern Christian Institution (SCI in Edwards, Mississippi in 151. She attended Tackson State University from 1951 to 1953 for Cosmetology. In 1954 she started working at Mississippi State Hospital as a Direct Care Worker and was able to retire after 32 years of service. Ruth enjoyed lite. She loved attendin he Mississipp1 Delta Blues Festival with her siblings and dancing the mast potato. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, curling hair and finding the best deals at garage sales or thrift stores. A TIME TO UNITE: She had eight children and was united in holy matrimony to Benjamin Alexander Sr. A TIME TO DIE: On Thursday, Aprl 23, 2026, God saw her getting tired and He opened His arms to allow her to rest and join her parent: Morgan and C. Bell Thomas; brothers: Sterling, Robert, and Ponce de Leon Thomas sisters: Meredith Donald, Eunice Buckley, Emma Carter, Earnestine Mason, and Willie Pearl Burnley. Two sons: Franklin and Lenoard Wynn Alexander. One daughter: Joyce Ann Wilson. One grandson: Frederick Darrell Thomas and one great grandson: Karter Patrick. A TIME TO MOURN: She leaves to cherish her legacy, Linda Faye (Frederick Smith); Benjamın r. Freddie ean); Wanda Marie; Regına Shynette; and Cathy Ruth. wo sisters, Catherine Harvey and Annie Mae Carmack. Four brothers, J.H.; Jimmie; Alex Doris; and George Thomas. Two Sisters-in-Law: Roberta and Flora Thomas. Her legacy will continue with 19 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 22 great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and frends.
