Mr. Chester Jun Collier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On March 3, 1943, Chester J. Collier was born to the late Charlie and Josephine Collier of Pelahatchie, Mississippi. Chester attended the Pelahatchie School District where he graduated. He attended Jordan Grove M. B. Church. He married the late Flora (Kersh) Collier in 1964. To this union, two children were born Angela D. (Collier) Martin and Michael A. Collier. He was employed at Standwood Sewing Factory. In 1972, Mr. and Mrs. Collier were divorced. Chester moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he was employed at Aluminum Casting of Milwaukee for over 30 years. While in Wisconsin. he attended Jeremiah M. B. Church. Due to failing health, Chester moved back to Mississippi with his daughter Angela. Due to his declining health, he was placed in Starkville Manor Nursing Home located in Starkville, Mississippi. Chester departed this life on March 16, 2022. He leaves his legacy of love and memories to one daughter, Angela D. Martin of Brandon, Mississippi; one son, Michael A. (Stephanie) Collier of Jackson, Mississippi; five grandsons: Michael J. Small, Jr., Omar Burton and Ernest E. Martin, Jr., all of Brandon, Mississippi; McKenzie N. Small of Yazoo, Mississippi, Justin M. Collier of Jackson, Mississippi; one great grandson, Matthew Coulter of Brandon, Mississippi ; one special cousin, Jimmy Dale (Hattie) Hoard of Milwaukee Wisconsin; one cousin, Tyrone (Laresa) Hoard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Proceeding him in death was four brothers, Bobby Collier, Walter Collier, J.C. Collier and Willie Ray Collier; one brother who passed shortly after birth; three sisters Hazel N. Collier, Inez Collier and Willie Mae Wilson of Brandon, Mississ; one surviving brother Charles R. (Brenda) Collier of Pelahatchie, Mississippi.
