Mr. David J. McKee Sr.
January 27, 1950 - May 3, 2021
David J. McKee, Sr., returned to his heavenly home on of 71. His devotion to his family and firm belief in God supported him in his failed age health and ultimately gave him peace. On January 27, 1950, David was born to the late Lee Davis and Elizabeth May 3, 2021 at the (Winsley) McKee. Within this union, he was the twelfth of fourteen children. Preceding him in death are five brothers, Robert E. McKee, Leonard McKee, Robert L. Williams, Ralph McKee and Lee Davis McKee, Jr; and two sisters, Hattie Pearl Allen and Hattie Louise McKee. David accepted Christ at an early age at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi. He attended Carter High School and in 1970 he was joined in marriage to Earlean Burnett, and they relocated to Gary, Indiana. He was blessed with a loving family and retired as a Furnace Operator from Inland Steel in East Chicago, Indiana in 1996. David will be dearly missed as a Deacon at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, IN where he was a member until his passing. He will be greatly missed by his family, loved ones, and friends. He never met a stranger and loved the flea market. We celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
