Hobson began his life in Rankin County, Mississippi born to Sam Hobson, Sr. and Annie Mae on February 1, 1937. Both parents and siblings, Sidney Hobson, Robert Arlester Hobson, Sr., and Sam Hobson, Jr. preceded him in death. A Time to Plant...Not without sin, he was a faithful child of God who passed these beliefs on to his children. He was baptized in 1976 and faithfully served until his death. He shared his faith with his family, friends and others. Many lives were touched by his wisdom and humility. A Time to Share...He had an amazing love for cars; be it building engines, repairs, or testing the speed of a vehicle, Henry shared that knowledge with his sons and others. A Time to Laugh...Henry L. possessed an inward joy that often produced smiles and laughter to those around him. In the toughest times, he knew how to reveal the lighter side of any situation. A Time to Achieve...He began Masonry at a young age and mastered his craft on homes, commercial buildings, government contracts, and churches. In his latter years he specialized in custom stone and brick fireplaces, steps, and mailboxes. A Time to Eternal Security...Mr. Henry L. Hobson died on September 5, 2021 at 11:00 PM at his home. A Time to Remember...Henry was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He leaves in his remembrance his siblings, Viola H. Barnes of New Orleans, LA, Roy Chester Hobson, Sr. (Eddie Mae) of Pelahatchie, MS, Joseph Hobson, Sr. (JoAnn) of Jackson, MS, Queen Esther Ficklin (Billie Ray), of Brandon, MS, Odell Hobson, Sr., and Jane Collins (Willie) both of Jackson, MS. Mother of Sons, Hattie Hobson of Brandon, MS, 1st Son, Gregory Hobson (D'Ann) of Vallejo, CA and Henry J. Hobson (LaKimberly) of Hernado, MS; Mother, Emmer J. Hoard of Brandon, MS, his daughter, Etta Barnes (Gary) of Jackson, MS; four granddaughters, five grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.
