Mrs. Lizzie L. Quick Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Lizzie L. Jones Quick Was a beautiful woman of God born September 8, 1940, to the late William 2. Jones and Lizzie Hayes Jones. She was preceded in death by her loving children, Tammy Jean Jones, Linda J. Smith, and Johnny Carl Jones; her granddaughter, Crystal Nicole Smith and fourteen of her siblings. Mrs. Lizzie confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. She joined Enoch Grove M.B. Church where she served faithfully as a dedicated member of the Choir and Missionary Society. Mrs. Lizzie attended McLaurin High School. She was employed at the Mississippi State Hospital for 26 years. Mrs. Lizzie enjoyed singing, sewing, needle work, word searches, watching westerns, and having movie nights. She thoroughly enjoyed serving and praising the Lord. Her favorite quote was, "I love you and ain't nothing you can do about it.” Mrs. Lizzie loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed quality time spent with family and embraced family dinners. She was always supportive of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her smile and laughter was contagious. She never met a stranger. Mrs. Lizzie taught her family, "to put your trust in God. Leaving to cherish her loving memories: three daughters: Evangelist Sandra (Herman) Quick, Gail Jones, and Cynthia Jones of Florence, MS; one sister: Stella Jones-Tate of Boston, MA; two brothers: Willie Jones and Limzee Jones of Florence, MS; Loving grandchildren: Deric (Gina) Quick, Kevin Quick, Kentrell (Amanda) Quick, Joshua Quick, Hope Quick, Charity Quick, Johnathan (Juilie) Quick, Faitheon Quick, and Faith Quick; great-grandchildren: Shaelynn, Devin, Jordyn, Khaliyah, Kevina, Kevani, Kenora, Laylah, Kayne, Kynzlee, Kyler, Kyrie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
