Mrs Lucie Faye Hughes

February 3, 1937 - November 3, 2020

Lucie Faye Hughes was born February 3, 1937 to the union of John and Mary Williams in Bremond, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents a sister Ola Mae Lewis. Lucie graduated from Charles Love HS (TX); Cortez Peters Business College, Chicago City Colleges, {IL) & The University of Chicago. Lucie met and married Willie Hughes on November 22, 1956 where three daughters were born to their union. Rosalyn Hughes {IN); Monica Bass {Eddie} {MS} and Belinda Hughes who preceded her in death; and one grandson Mike Hughes {IN). Graciously continuing onward in God's service, Lucie became an active member of True Believers MB Church in April 1968. She was a choir member, Sunday school teacher, new member orientation leader and nurses board member a president. Lucie's passions were cooking, sewing, family gatherings, piano playing, and vending novelty gifts. Lucie's career path catapulted her from employee to entrepreneur: A-1 Medical Billing, LLC. Lucie leaves to cherish her husband of 64 years, daughters a grandson; her favorite cousin Mary Helen Miller; great aunt Fairee Platt; other relatives, church family and great friends. Lucie was blessed to be a blessing and raised up to raise up!
