Mr. Sam Charleston Howard Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

The late Mr. Sam Charleston Howard was born into life on February 23, 1956 to the late Mr. Clarence and Mrs. Rutha Lene Howard. Most of Sam's life was spent on Fletcher Road in the Johns Community. He grew up in a family with one sister and six brothers. Sam was quiet growing up, and had pretty grey eyes one could not forget. His last school years were spent at Puckett High School. He worked on different jobs to earn his living as an adult. Some years ago, though many did not know, Sam was diagnosed with an illness that lasted until his death. He had a love and care for other people. For the past few years he would spend days sitting with Mr. Thomas Anderson, Sr., who was buried on yesterday. Thomas' wife knew she could depend on him if needed. It is ironic that Mr. Anderson passed away on April 26, 2019 and Sam passed away on April 29, 2019, three days after his death. They were moved from these earthly bodies and transformed into the bodies of glory. Sam's mother and father preceded him in death. His only sister Virgie Mae was killed in a car crash at an early age. Three brothers, John Arthur, Selmer and Marvin also preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memories, his brother Lynn Howard of Johns, Mississippi with whom he lived with; Levell Rawls of Jackson, Mississippi and Timothy Howard of Dallas, Texas; one aunt on his mother's side, Mrs. Lurlean Boone, and one niece Shomona Hooks of Ft. Worth, Texas, three nephews: Eric Palmer of Jackson, Mississippi, Marcus and Emmitt Howard, both of Ft. Worth, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
