To everything there a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven A bom and a time to die Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 Mrs Shirley Johnson Benson was born September 20, 1947 in Plain (Richland M Me was the second child born to the late Charlie and Elizabeth Daniels Johnson The born, Dorothy preceded her in death Shirley accepted Christ at an early age under the pastorate of the late Reverent Mlaunin Early on she bege serving in the church by singing in the choir and holding var poutions in Sunday School and Christian Youth Fellowship Shirley was a faithful dedicated member, buth spiritually and physically in the positions of Chairman of the Steward Board Church Treasurer, Missionary Society Treasurer and Sunday Schoot Secretary until her death and aln previously a Stewardess in 1970, Shirley was united in holy matrimony to Sam Benson. This union was blessed with three children, Derrick, Gerl, and Mala (Sammie) She loved her family and enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, and collecting antiques. Shirley's education began at New Hope School where she attended until the seventh grad Her education continued at McLaurin High School and graduated in 1967. She was emplois by Sam's Club where she retired after working for many years. Time here on earth ended for Shirley on May 16, 2021. She peacefully shipped away in her home with family by her side "Blessed Assurance she has made it to her heavenly home. To cherish her memories, Shirley leaves two sons, Derrick (Earnestine) Johnson and Maik Benson, both of Richland, MS: one daughter Gerl Benson of Conyers, GA, three grandchildren, Darketta (Kerry) Amos of Richland, MS; Jada and Jena Kennedy of Conver, G two great grandchildren, Karter and Karlynn Amos; three brothers, Willie (Gwendolyn Johnson, Cleveland (Argentina) Johnson both of Richland, MS and Bennie (Diane) Johnson of Detroit, MI; five sisters, Frances Jefferson of Roselle, Ni, Faye Foster, Jerri Johnson, Elaine (Clarence) Jacobs, and Cynthia Terrell all of Richland, M5, two brothers-in-law, Reverend Hollie (Eddie Maej Benson of Puckett, MS and Fred (Viola) Benson of Palm Desert, CA, two sisters in law, Amanda Kingsbury and Dona Craft, both of Braxton, MS; numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins, and a host of friends.
