Mrs. Tamara Dear Coleman

November 6, 1963 - September 8, 2021

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalms 116:15 Tamara Dear Coleman was born on November 6, 1963 to Eddie and Margaret Dear. She grew up in Brandon, MS where she married the love of her life, Eddie Ray Coleman on August 18, 1984. Their union bore three sons: Matthew, Morgan, and Madison. Tamara graduated from Pearl High School in 1981 and completed her bachelor ’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1984. In December 2015, she graduated from Mississippi College with a master ’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. Motivated by her training and her love for helping people, Tamara became a Licensed Professional Counselor. In 2019, she started a private counseling practice and was known for being a devoted mental healthcare professional who always went above and beyond to help everyone she served. Tamara gave her life to the Lord at a young age, and she not only “talked the talk but walked the walk.” In 1999, Tamara and Ray along with Juan and Robin Jones, co-founded New Vision Fellowship (NVF) Church. Tamara was dearly loved by her NVF family and was a key church leader who served in many capacities over the years. She was truly a righteous woman of God and allowed the Lord to use her to enrich the lives of everyone around her. Tamara (also loving known as “Bee”) was fun, friendly, and always the “life of the party.” She never met a stranger and always thought the best of everyone. She was passionate about singing, worshiping, encouraging others, and spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren, who she deeply loved. If one were to see her at a family gathering, they would be greeted with her warm, infectious smile and her world-famous broccoli salad. She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret Redd Dear. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Eddie Ray Coleman; children, Matthew Coleman, Morgan (Tasha) Coleman, Madison (Chasity) Coleman; grandchildren, Bailey, Nova, and Quest Beaux Coleman; father and stepmother, Eddie (Shirley) Dear; siblings, Eddie Dwaine (Valerie) Dear, Nita (George) Baker, Valerie (Benjamin) Adadevoh, BJ (Quetta) McLaurin, Nathan (Adonya) McLaurin; bonus sister, Daphne (Lando) Shepherd; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that love and will miss her tremendously.
