Ms. Yulanda Shante' Williams was born on April 22,1973 as the first born to Moress, Sr. and Fannie Williams. She spent her youth growing up with her three siblings and many cousins in the Kone Hill Community and joined Sylvarena Missionary Baptist Church at a very young age where she loved singing in the Sunshine Choir. \s the l'irst granddaughter on the Randolph side of the family, Shante' was very much loved and grew up with her cousin-brother Tom and brother Moress, Jr. They were so close people of ten spoke about how you never knew which sister the kids belonged. Shanie' attended the Pelahatchie Schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. She excelled in school as a Beta Club Member and a saxophone player in the Band. She graduated from Pelahatchie High School in 1901 and attended Jackson State University where she started to pursue a career in Elementary Education. However, Shane loved working with people and decided to devote her full time to working at the Kroger store in Pearl, MS for over 20 years where she was known as a friendly and kind face. Anyone who went into the Kroger store knew Shante' because she always had a kind word to say, a smile on her face and would always give a helping hand. During her tenure at Kroger, she went back to school at Hinds Community College in Pearl. Mississippi and earned her Associates Degree in Medical Records. Due to declining health, Shante left the Kroger store and devoted her full time to being the mother to her two children who she loved dearly. Shane' was always a fan of music and sports. At a young age, she joined the Sylvarena MB Church and sung in the Sunshine and Inspirational Choirs. She served in various areas in the church from Vacation Bible School teacher, Usher Ministry and Ladies’ Mission. At any family function, Shante' was definitely the best spade partner to have on your team and enjoyed getting people up from her table. Additionally. Shante' loved supporting the Pelahatchie Chief's as a parent attending sporting events, especially football and basketball games with her children. She also was a devoted sister, mother and niece spending as much time with her family as possible. She was always attending functions with her kids to ensure they experienced all that life had to offer and never missed a school function. Shante" also spent a lot of time with "The Sisters', the term she used to fondly speak of her mother's sisters. She was always available to provide a listening ear and was the chaperone for many a concert and state fairy for her younger siblings and cousins. Shante' is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Fannie Irene Randolph Williams and a daughter who was stillborn, Mya Jordin McGee. Only six days after her passing, her father, Mr. Moress Williams, Sr, also passed away. On Tuesday, November 21, 2020, Shante earned her wings and transitioned from her Earthly Home to her Heavenly home. She leaves lo cherish her memory her two beautiful children, Malcolm and Madyson McGee of Brandon. MS. One sister: Quante’ Williams (Thomas Hinton) of Brandon, MS. Two brothers: Moress Williams, Jr. of Richland, and Marcus Williams of Brandon, MS. One play brother: Evinn Beck of Biloxi, Ms. bonus niece and nephew. Garrett and Alyssia Hinton of Brandon, MS. A very close cousin-brother: Tom (Alisha) Aexander of Norfolk, Virginia. Five close and devoted aunts 'The Sisters': Mary Alexander, Curstine Randolph, and Beatrice Sellers of Brandon, MS, Helen Gibson of Katy, TX, and Hattie Bass of Ridgeland. Ms. She also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, church members, and dear friends to ensure her love, memory, and legacy lives on.
