Ms. Carol Jean Ducksworth

Sister Carol Jean Ducksworth was born, November 30, 1953, in Rankin County, Mississippi, to the late Gennie Mosley and the late Bertha Lou Jenkins Mosley whom she cared for and loved dearly. Carol obtained her secondary education at Pearl High School. She earned a High school diploma. Sister Carol accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Elam Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late 'Reverend 'R, L. T. Smith. She was a faithful member until her health failed. She loved her church family and took pride in saying that she was a member of Mount Elam. Carol was united in Holy Matrimony to Billy Ducksworth in 1976, to this union one (1) child was born, Felicia. Sister Carol was employed at Hudspeth Regional Center in Pearl, Mississippi. She retired with (28) years of dedicated service. She was well loved by her coworkers and clients who became her extended family. Sister Carol made her transition, Wednesday, December 5, 2024, at Pine Forrest Nursing and Rehab, Jackson, MS. She went home to be with the Lord after fighting a good fight and keeping the faith. Carol will be long missed as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, mentor, and niece. Carol had the ability to communicate with whomever she met and assisted when needed. She dedicated her life to making other people happy. She helped with caring for her grandson Deric Garner Jr. a.k.a. "Bug". She enjoyed spoiling and loving him. She also enjoyed talking about old times. She will be remembered by her daughter, nieces, and nephews for the precious times shared and the earlier trips to the Mississippi State Fair, Jackson Zoo, and movies. She also enjoyed watching movies with her son-in-law. Sister Carol will be especially missed by her loving family, (1) one daughter Felicia Garner (Deric) (son-in-law), Deric Garner Jr. (grandson), (2) two brothers, Harry (Shirley) Mosley, Larry Mosley (Lucy Copeland); Sister Ann Parker; (1) one stepbrother, Eddie Cousins; Stepfather Cody Cousins, (2) two Nieces, Laticha and Nikki Mosley, (2) two Nephews, Marcus (Marla), Marlon (Tasha), (2) two Special aunts whom she visited almost daily Bobbie Gayden and Estelle Mosley; (1) one Special Sister Minnie Myers; (2) two bonus daughters Sherry Parker and Vinyah Ducksworth. She was preceded in death by a special sister (Patricia). To cherish her loving memory, Carol also leaves behind a great host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues, and all she touched and loved. "Let not your hearts be troubled, ye believe in God believe also in me"
