Mr. Clyde Campbell Jr

On this day we pay tribute to Mr. Clyde Campbell, Jr. We will forever remember the love you have shown us. Clyde Campbell, Jr. was born on August 19, 1943 to the late Mrs. Myrtle Campbell and Mr. Clyde Campbell, Sr. in Rankin County, MS. He transitioned from this life on February 21, 2022 at Merritt Health River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. Clyde Jr. was the seventh child of eight siblings. Six of whom proceeded him in death; Cora Mae, Gladys, Willie Lee, John Henry, Lee Jr. and James. He is also proceeded in death by his loving wife Girlee Campbell, two great-grandchildren; Maurice Clyde Watson and Amari Montreal Loggins and his uncle Carl Campbell whom he loved so dearly. Clyde Jr. also had a special pet dog named Sam. At at early age Clyde Jr. joined Mt Carmel M.B. Church in Pela hatchie, MS. He later joined Little Zion United Methodist Church, which was his church home at the time of his passing. Clyde Campbell Jr. attended the Pelahatchie Colored School. He was employed with M&H Manufacturing Company and later with Standwood Manufacturing Company and remained there until its closing. On January 17, 1970 Clyde Jr. was united into holy matrimony to Girlee Campbell. The union lasted until her passing on May 28, 2007. At her passing he is noted saying, "Girlee, you are the best thing that ever happen in my life". From taking his grandchildren fishing and to Jackson State football games as well as being supportive at school activities and simply being there in times of need, loving memories of Clyde Jr. will forever remain in our hearts. Clyde Campbell, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Patsy Joe (Jackie Lee) Watson of Pelahatchie, MS; One sister, Ora Dee Perry of Pelahatchie, MS; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Martronek (Montreal) Loggins; Powder Springs, GA; Mitchell Odell Watson, Byram, MS; Jack Alvalon (Adrianne) Watson, Jack son, MS and Joetta Loiefanee Watson, Pelahatchie, MS. His great-grandchildren Kody Mitchell Watson, Elijah Terrell Watson, Rylee Bella Claire Watson, Roderick Edan Williams, Boaz Jackson Watson, Mercygrace Jackie Watson, Favorgrace Hannah Watson and a special niece Nicole Givens, God-son Tommie Moore, Jr. Chicago, Illinois; a niece Minnie Cooper along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
