Mrs. Cora Lee Beverly-Moore

Mrs. Cora Lee Beverly Moore, born on August 28, 1954, in Jackson, Mississippi, to the late Johnny Lee Beverly and Arnita Brown Beverly, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in Flowood, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters: Johnny Earl Beverly, Elizabeth Beverly Lewis, Archester Beverly, Bruce Beverly, Anrrisen Battle, Charles Gaines and Dwight Gaines. Cora was raised in Rankin County, within the Pearson community, where she attended Carter High School in Brandon, Mississippi, and later Pearl High School in Pearl, Mississippi. Her professional journey included Baptist Hospital, Mississippi State Hospital, and Rankin General from which she retired after 24 years. Cora married Will Albert Moore on June 30, 1972 and to this union four sons were born. During this time, she committed her life to Christ and became a faithful member of Mt. Elam Baptist Church in Pearl, Mississippi. Cora's loving memory will be cherished by her devoted husband of 52 years and their four sons: Marcus Moore, Christopher Moore, Reginald Moore, and Willie (Keila) Moore. She is also survived by six brothers: Alfred Kitchens, Raft Beverly, Anthony Brown, Wealton (Shirley) Beverly, Kenneth (Paula) Beverly, and Kruz Long; five sisters: Gwendolyn Beverly, Marshall McMiller, Vernida Ross, Georgia Beverly, and Leveda Kitchens; and her sister-in-laws, Naomi Tina Beverly, Cesarene Thompson, Nina Johnson. She was also blessed with a stepsister, Jeanette Johnson; stepmother, Sherry Beverly; and aunts, including Bobbie Nell Gayden, Gladys Holloway, Ann (Fred) Coleman, Carolyn Sutton, Gail Johnson, and Sherry (Billy) Fenderson. Cora's legacy will also live on through her grandchildren: Chrissonthia Moore, Triston Trent Moore, Chania Foster, Natajah Singletary, Nakayla Singletary, William Moore, Cassidy Moore, Trenton Moore, Tiara Norwood, Jadon Moore, Riley Moore, Johnathan Moore and Keilan Moore. She is also survived by her godsons, Terrance Thompson and Dewayne McCoy, along with a special nephew, Prentiss Beverly, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her memory dear. Cora was a woman of deep faith, strength, and kindness, and she touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her family and friends will remember her love, warmth, and the unwavering support she gave to all who needed it.
