Mrs. Diane Hines

The life of Diane Hines Gegan in Chicago, IL April 27, 1954, the child of loving parents, Lillie Rose Hines and Maurice Davis. Diane accepted Christ at a very young age and stayed committed to God's promises throughout her life. Diane's formative years were spent between Braxton, MS and Milwaukee, WI. She attended 12th Street and St. Phillips Elementary Schools. Diane attended Wisconsin Lutheran H.S., and received her graduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, in conjunction with completing an internship abroad in Poland. Diane met, and married Leroy Baron of Milwaukee, WI. They later divorced. She began her career working in radio media. After working in radio, she ventured into the healthcare field and worked for Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI where she was provided the opportunity to work in multiple leadership capacities. She served the staff and community at large. Diane also worked for Lanier Medical as an independent IT contractor and directed hundreds of staff throughout her career until her retirement. After working in the healthcare field for most of her career, Diane worked as an IT consultant for T-Mobile before relocating to her permanent home in Braxton, MS. Shortly after relocating to Braxton, MS Diane adopted the love of her life, her beloved dog, Beauregard. She joined and was faithful to her church, Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, in Brandon, MS and worked in the Media and other ministries. Although her health had aggressively declined, she continued to Ge faithful to her church family as much her health would allow. GOD made all of us unique in HIS own way. Thus, Diane was definitely unique and always stood out in a crowd to say the least. It wasn't her beauty, kindness, intelligence, trustworthiness, meticulousness, helpfulness, height or candidness, but the love she had for her family and friends that made her stand outward. Diane had great love for the LORD and cherished that relationship to the end. Her spiritual gift was sharing the WORD. Whatever she engaged in/or with, she shared the WORD, whether while pumping gas, discussions with doctors, cashiers, or family members. She would often say sharing the WORD was her only purpose. Diane would not want us to mourn the departure of her earthly body, but would want us to remember, that "DEATH-to the flesh-is INEVITABLE" to all mankind who are not caugfit up in the Rapture! To The Saint, "To die is to gain!!!" She always said and would tell anyone she has ever encountered, "I love you, but THE LORD loves you more." Preceding her in death is her parents, Lillie Rose Hines and Maurice Davis; Brother Willie Otha Hines; and grandparents; Robert and Earl Johnson, ex-husband Leroy Barron. Diane will be greatly missed by her aunts and uncles; Lillie Ruth Lucas, Ruby Dale Perkins, Janet Smith, Mae Lampley (Gregory) Lawrence (Katherine) Wilson, and cousins; Reginald (Stacey) Johnson, Stanley Johnson, Ella Perkins, IN, Sandra Wooten, FL, Pam (James) Evans, Zachary Lucas, Patrice Johnson, GA, Ann Johnson (Bill C., deceased), Brad Smith, IX, Debra Wilson, Della Wilson, Dennis Wilson (Claudine) Daphne Wilson; Great-Aunt; Lemmie Shepherd.
