Mr. Eugene Jackson Hill

Eugene Jackson Hill was born on March 10,1945, to Dock Jackson Hill and Fannie Mae Boykin Hill. He transitioned on April 3, 2024, at Saint Dominics Hospital. Everyone who knew Eugene called him Gene for short. He went to school at Carter High school in Brandon, Mississippi. Afterwards he moved to Florida with his aunt Mary. In Florida, he worked as a cook during his stay. Gene decided to come back to Mississippi sometime during his young adult years. Upon returning, he worked in the Delta on water tanks and eventually Gene worked on the highway, and at the airport refueling planes. Later in his life, he changed his career to an auto-mechanic. Gene worked at Dixon Auto company until it closed. He helped his family and friends out by fixing their cars at a reasonable price. He was a good mechanic, and he did his best to make the vehicle last. He loved riding motorcycles and helping his dad as a construction worker build houses. Also, Gene worked on Dock estate in the fields producing crops to eat, give away and sale. Eugene common style to dress was Western with his cowboy hat and boots. Gene loved to eat. His favorite food to eat was his sister Janet Pearson egg custard pie. During his last few years, Gene loved to hang out with his brother Jimmie Hill. Eugene married Gatha Joyce Chaffee and they had two children Ruby Hill of Pearl, MS and Betty Pittman of Jackson, MS. He also had several other children, his son Willie Jerome Williams and Eugene Hill Junior, and daughters Earline Hill and Tina Marie Lee. Eugene is joined in death by his parents Dock Jackson Hill and Fannie Mae Hill, his sisters Helen Mae Hill, Dorothy Mae Rodgers, Lidia Hill, Mary Ann Hill, and his brothers James Lee Hill and Charlie Hill. He leaves to cherish his memories with his three sisters Janet (Johnnie) Pearson of Pearl MS; Saadia Johnson Hill of Pearl, MS; Patricia Hill of Jackson, MS; and his brother Jimmie Hill of Flowood, MS. his daughters Ruby Hill, Betty Pittman, Tina Marie Lee and Earline Hill of Jackson, MS and his sons Willie Jerome Williams of Laurel, MS, Eugene Hill Jr. of New Orleans, Louisiana and several other children, eighteen grandchildren; His aunts Earnestine Hill Chambers of Pearl, MS, Floree Hill Norwell of Houston, Texas; Annie Stean Hill of Maywood, ILL., and his uncle Jessie (Judy) Hill of Flowood, MS; His nieces Josette Moore and Carolyn Moore of Pearl, MS.
