Mrs. Lardelle M. Franklin

Lardelle McLaurin was born on January 15, 1962, in Brandon, MS to William E. (Big Bud) and Ruby L. McLaurin. In her youth she learned the values of family and fellowship with her parents. Lardelle accepted Christ in her life at an early age at St. Mary Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. She attended Carter before integration but graduated from Pearl High School in 1979. After graduating, she attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS where she received a Vocational Degree. In the early 80's, she met the love of her life through her cousin Jack Bryant. Lardelle accepted Michael A. Franklin hand in marriage on September 4, 1982, in Brandon, MS at St. Mary M.B. Church. God blessed their marriage with four (4) children: Michael (Cory), Branden, Alexandria, and Joshlyn. They were married for 43 years. Once she married Michael, they moved to Florence, MS where she joined Brown Hill M.B. Church with him under the leadership of Pastor Willie Williams. In December of 1997, Michael and Lardelle moved to Brandon, MS and because a member of the community. She was a devoted worker in the church as a Deaconess and usher. She served as a faithful member until her death. Lardelle started working as a teacher's assistant at Florence Elementary for 4 years. Then she transitioned to the Mississippi State Hospital as a Behavior Tech, Supply Prep worker, and Insurance Claims worker. She worked at the Mississippi State Hospital for 28 years until she retired in December of 2019. Her hobbies consisted of watching beloved westerns, The Cooking Channel, Sanford & Son, Hallmark, and The Young and the Restless. She loved, in her later years, working in the church and talking on the phone with friends and loved ones. She loved collecting crystal for her cabinets at home. What she valued most was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lardelle leaves to cherish her precious memories with her caring and loving husband: Michael of Brandon, MS, children: Michael C. (Ashley) of Florence, MS, Branden (Stephanie) of Magee, Alexandria and Joshlyn of Brandon, grandchildren: Jamaya, Montana, Darriana, Savannah, and Addison. Sister Patricia Collins (Brandon, MS), Sister-in-Law Gloria Franklin and Sarah Franklin (Florence, MS) as well as a Mother-in-Law Mary Louise Franklin of Florence, MS. She also leaves special memories with her are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and friends. Lardelle transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday December 11, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents William E. and Ruby McLaurin, Father-in-Law Alton Franklin, Sister-in-Law Patrica Gray, Brother-in-Law Obadiah Collins, LaRue Franklin, and Gearld Franklin.
