Mr. Milton Fletcher

Milton Fletcher was born on May 16, 1963, in Rankin County, Mississippi, to the late Earl Fletcher and Mary Fletcher-Weathersby, both of whom preceded him in death. He received his education at Puckett High School and joined Sylvarena M.B. Church at an early age, where his love for Christ began and remained throughout his life. Milton had a lifelong passion for driving trucks. Every job he held reflected that love- he felt at peace on the road. He later moved to Prentiss, Mississippi, where he lived until a car accident on April 24, 2022, brought him back home to receive the love and care of his family. Milton passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Fletcher and Mary Fletcher-Weathersby; and five brothers: Leodis Fletcher, Earl Fletcher Jr., Levarn Fletcher, Archie Fletcher, and Alvin Fletcher. He leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted daughter, Ebony McFarland; future son-in-law, Martez Hopkins; and three beautiful grandchildren, Jaide Lee, Justis Lee, and Brookiyn Hopkins. Four brothers: John Fletcher, Pastor Curtis (Vertis) Fletcher, and Eddy Fletcher, all of Brandon, MS; and Allen (Tracy) Fletcher of Pearl, MS. Seven sisters: Rosemary (Roosevelt) Taylor, Ellaweese Fetcher, Myrtis (Pastor Clifton Boggans), Bettie Fetcher, Sonjie (Dewayne) Starlings, all of Brandon, MS; Lynda(Greg) Jackson of Mendenhall, MS; and Esther (Alan) Robinson of Puckett, MS. One sister-in-law, Brenda Fletcher, and one aunt, Ruby James. Two uncles: E.G. Brown and Ledrew James, all of Mendenhall, MS. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will remember him with love. Milton was also blessed with the presence of some very special people in his life: Ms. Alice Gray, a kind soul who came into his life unexpectedly. Though she didn't know him well at first, she came by to check on Milton simply because he was our brother. She spent time with him, brought him sinall gifts that brightened his days, and when she had his ramp installed — he felt like he had won the lottery. Her kindness will always be remembered. Ashley Lyons, his caregiver, treated Milton not just as a client, but as a friend —with compassion, dignity, and love. Scotty Goodloe, a faithful buddy who always reached out to check on him. Roosevelt Taylor, whom we thank deeply for staying with Milton whenever the family needed to step away. We are forever grateful to everyone who showed kindness and support during this difficult time. Your love and compassion has provided strength, and your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten. You helped us navigate our grief, and we will always remember your care.
