Ms Patricia Ann Brown-Crown

Patricia Ann Brown, of Florence, MS, departed this life on Monday, July 11, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on March 20, 1955, in Hinds County. She was the eldest daughter of 10 children born to John Milton and the late Lula Mae Brown. She received her education through various Rankin County Schools and graduated from Florence High School in 1973. She attended courses at both Hinds Community College and Jackson State University. She joined church at a very young age and accepted Christ. She was an active choir member singing alongside her mother and her sister. Her favorite song was Precious Lord, and she sang it with her melodious voice. Her favorite scripture was Peter 3:8, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day". She was a woman of many talents and wore many hats. She modeled, was a record keeper for NASA, and worked in sales. She not only built up her family but also helped build and construct structures across the Central Mississippi area. She was a hard-working woman that loved her family and went above and beyond to provide. The love for her children, grandchildren, and family was very evident in everything that she did. She enjoyed fishing, swimming, watching Hallmark movies, country music, quality time with family, and baking. While she made many delicious desserts, she was infamous for her coconut cake. They were as sweet as she was. She was preceded in death by her mother Lula Brown, sister Carol Brown, grandparents Archie and Vida Gipson and Milton and Maddie Brown. Patricia leaves to cherish her memories: her loving children: Alex Leroy Dunigan, Dawn Shanel Brown, Norland Re'chard Brown, and Joy Patrice Gale; her father, John (Delia) Brown; her grandchildren: Jayda Shanelle Brown, Ryder Thomas Carlisle, Alora Lanaya Dunigan, Alex Leroy Dunigan III, Caleb Ellis, Jayden Anthony Dunigan, Faruq Moore, Malani Patricia Rose Dunigan; Siblings: Kenneth (Diane) Brown, Chyrel Fields, Tommie (Brennett) Brown, Katrina Brown, Jerry (Kim) Brown, Cynthia Brown, LaTanya (Kevin) Walker, and Danae (Johnny) Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
