Ms. Pearlie Mae Harvey

Dignity, elegance, courage, faith-filled, family focused, and strength are just a few words that describe Mrs. Pearlie Mae Harvey. Pearlie Mae Wooten Harvey was bom April 11, 1927 in Rankin County, Mississippi to Floyd Wooten and Louise Wooten. Known to her close family and friends as simply "Pearlie", she was certainly a beautiful woman inward and outward. Mrs. Harvey was the 2nd oldest child of 11 children. Mrs. Harvey entered into eternal rest, surround by her loving family, into the outstretched arms of her Heavenly Father on October 22, 2019 at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Mrs. Harvey's childhood years began in the Cato Community of Brandon, Mississippi where she received her primary education. Mrs. Pearlie Mae Wooten later united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Willie Harvey. While being a Mother and a Wife, Mrs. Harvey became employed with Stanwood located in Pelahatchie, Mississippi for more than 2 decades and it was then she officially retired. Mrs. Harvey was a strong and righteous woman who instilled in her family the values of honesty, truth, compassion, perseverance, and the importance of keeping a spiritual focus. In her spare time, one would find Mrs. Harvey enjoying hobbies such as cooking, sewing, ironing, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. If you were associated in any way with Mrs. Harvey, you knew she loved God and her Church family. She professed Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age, uniting in service with Greater New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi where she served in numerous capacities before her health diminished. From a Sunday School teacher to a member of the Mother's Board, she devoted her life to serving God in worship, praise, and deeds. Mrs. Pearlie Mae Harvey was preceded in death by three (3) brothers, Welton Wooten, Cleveland Wooten and Carlton Wooten; two (2) sisters, Mable Thigpen and Inez Thelma Collier. Though departed, her radiant memory will forever remain in the hearts of her precious children: four (4) daughters, Willie Mae Harvey, Ruby Mae Wheeler, Linda Faye Harvey, all of Brandon, Mississippi and Betty Ruth (Johnny) Brown of Omaha, Nebraska; five (5) sons, Willie Ester Harvey, Walter Lee Harvey, Lee Edward (Shirley) Harvey, Ricky (Trina) Harvey and Michael Harvey, all of Brandon, Mississippi; Two (2) of her children (Eddie Ray Harvey, Sr. and James Earl Harvey) preceded her in death, one daughter in-law, Forestine Harvey of Brandon, Mississippi; three (3) sisters, Ruby Nell Anderson, Henry Lee Bames, Helen Wooten, all of Brandon, Mississippi and one (1) brother, Eddie Wooten of Brandon, Mississippi; fifty-three (53) grandchildren, one hundred (100) great grandchildren, over fifty (50+) great, great grandchildren, a special friend, Annie Bell Adams, and a God Son, Jeff Taylor. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends whom also remain to treasure her memory and magnificent legacy. All who are in Christ will see her again.
