Mr. Roshun Dwayne Palmer

A TIME TO BE BORN Roshun Dwayne Palmer, the oldest of five siblings, was born on January 29, 1971, time 10:11 pm at University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi to Ms. Annie Louise Palmer. A TIME TO LIVE Roshun loved life! He attended Brandon Elementary, Pearl Jr. High and graduated from North West Rankin High School in 1989. He attended as well as graduated from Hinds Community College. He joined True Vine M. B. Church at an early age. Shun has always been a businessman, working for other companies such as RTO, Rent City, National Cash Advance and Advance America. However, his dream was so much bigger because he has a desire was to start his own business. His life long goal was to leave a legacy for his family. In 2005, he stepped out on faith and opened United Cash Advance in Pearl, Mississippi. This was just the beginning, he later opened an office in Meridian, Mississippi. Although he was a savvy businessman, he loved having fun and was always the life of the party. His passions were Mustangs and racing. You could find him most Sundays at the track in Byram, Hub City or on Beasley not as a spectator but as a avid competitor. "Crusin the Coast" was also an event he looked forward to. Roshun loved being a father to his only daughter, Arrlington Jay Palmer or "Pumpkin" as he called her. She is who he lived for. She was the apple of his eye, the only one who could break his resolve. His main objective was teach her to be a strong, consistent, grounded young lady and to embrace life, the good as well as the bad. As much as possible he, prepared her for this day. A TIME TO DIE Roshun Dwayne Palmer departed from his earthly home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2019 at the University Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Two grandmothers, Melinda Palmer and Annie Mae Palmer, two grandfathers, Charlie Palmer and A.J. Palmer preceded him in death. A TIME TO MOURN Shun leaves to carry on his legacy; his daughter, Arrington “Pumpkin” Palmer; his faithful and loyal mother, Annie Louise Palmer; one sister Lamarsha "Tae Tae” Palmer-Dowdy (Travis); three brothers, Carey Palmer (Christa), Courtney Palmer, Anslem "Ant” Palmer; five nephews, Tyler, Coby, Braylon, Colin and Caden; two nieces, Chelsea and Presley. RoShun also had a host of friends he called “brothers", uncles, aunts and cousins who will cherish his memory. A TIME TO REJOICE (LAUGH/DANCE) We rejoice because of who he was. We rejoice because he no longer has to suffer. We rejoice because we know where he is.
