Mr. William Terry Wynn, Sr.

William Terry Wynn Sr., affectionately known as "Bo," passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by his wife and loving family. Born in Starkville, Mississippi, on April 18, 1955, Bo was the eldest son of the late Ollie Lee Billups and Jean Dean (JD) Wynn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Early Jean Wynn (Vernita) of West Point, MS, and is survived by his brother Leon Billups (Tina), also of West Point, MS. Bo graduated from Motley High School and embarked on a rewarding career as a professional truck driver. He began his journey with Bryan Foods in West Point, MS, later working with Carbonic Industries in Columbus, MS. Eventually, Bo settled in Star, Mississippi, where he dedicated 23 years of service to Airgas before retiring. As a man of quiet strength, unwavering commitment, and profound integrity, Bo built a life centered on faith, family, church, and service. He was a steadfast presence, greeting people as they entered the doors of the Amazing Institutional Church of God in Christ, Jackson, MS, where he loved the Lord and faithfully served for over 30 years. In retirement, Bo embraced each day with renewed purpose and joy, fully stepping into his cherished roles as a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather. He delighted in attending Grandparents' Day events, cheering from the sidelines at his grandchildren's gymnastics, golf, football, and soccer games. Bo found immense joy in guiding his loved ones-encouraging them to excel academically, sharing valuable life lessons, and patiently teaching them how to ride their bicycles. These moments, filled with laughter, learning, and connection, became cherished family traditions. Bo found joy in preparing warm, comforting meals, often surrounded by his extended family and close friends. He treasured those shared moments-filled with laughter, conversation, and connection. Friendship was a cornerstone of Bo's life. He formed deep, enduring relationships with lifelong friends, coworkers, and church family. His life was built on mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Bo was known for his dependability, generosity, and gentle presence. Quiet but wise, he often served as the steady foundation in any room, offering guidance, warmth, and kindness without ever seeking recognition. A loyal football fan, Bo embraced every Sunday with enthusiasm, proudly wearing his Seahawks "12th Man" jersey and rarely missing a game. Watching football was more than a pastime-it was a tradition. His distinctive NFL ringtone became a familiar sound and a playful reflection of his spirited love for the game. Bo leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Anita Wynn; his five children: Terry Wynn (Selena) of Florence, MS; Christopher Wynn (Sharron) of Manor, TX; Marcus Wynn (Stephanie) of Georgetown, TX; Tomeka Bayliss (Scott) of Madison, MS; and Brittany Roberts (Marcus) of Brandon, MS. His legacy continues through his loving grandchildren: Isaiah Wynn, Kentarrius Lofton, Keyaundra Wynn, Taylor Wynn, Madison Wynn, Anderson Wynn, Blake Bayliss, Laylah Wynn, Marley Wynn, Makenzie Roberts, and Mason Roberts. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Blair Wynn, Juniper Wynn, and Malik Lofton, who brought him immense joy and countless lawn mower rides. Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate the incredible life Bo lived—a life rooted in faith, kindness, and unwavering love. Bo cherished time spent not only with his wife, children, and grandchildren but also with his extended family and friends. These shared experiences created a lifetime of memories that will be held close to our hearts. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his love remains a constant light.
